Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's story DLC, Mask of Darkness, is out now, adding a new area to the Metroidvania-inspired world and an all-new chapter to the adventure of the hero Sargon and the time-cursed Mount Qaf. The masked Immortal Radjen, Sargon's most enigmatic former comrade, has laid a trap to draw him into her deadly Mind Palace.
Accessible once players have escaped the Depths and acquired the Shadow of the Simurgh time power, the Mind Palace is a dark, twisting labyrinth filled with horrors. When he enters it, Sargon is stripped of his health, potions, and amulets, as well as any time powers acquired after Shadow (don't worry - they'll all be returned when you teleport back to Mount Qaf). Here, players will be confronted by a dozen new kinds of traps and traversal objects - including lethal rotating lasers; teleportation portals that launch Sargon and switch direction when shot; and the giant, floating Eye of Radjen that chases Sargon at key points - as well as deadly new enemies including armored puppets, winged beings known as Parī, and fire-breathing robotic Sentinels.
As Sargon overcomes these - taunted by Radjen's disembodied voice all the way - he'll uncover memories that will gradually reveal her secrets and add a new dimension to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's narrative.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available on PC (via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam), Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna; is coming soon to Mac; and is included with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.
