THE MEG 2 and SHARK WEEK - Partnership on HS Games

Two of the biggest events of the year for shark entertainment are fast approaching, and Hungry Shark is partnering with both of them to bring fin-tastic content to its players. Discovery's annual Shark Week returns on July 23, bringing fin-filled quality shows, documentaries, podcasts, and more to audiences in over 224 countries, educating them about the toothy sea creatures. Then, on August 4, Warner Bros. Pictures' Meg 2: The Trench debuts exclusively in theaters. The film, starring Jason Statham, Wu Jing, and an ensemble cast that includes Sophia Cai, Page Kennedy, Sergio Peris-Menchata, Skyler Samuels and Cliff Curtis, is about a team of scientists who dive into the deepest depths of the ocean and come up against multiple Megs and so much more in the most electrifying cinematic experience of the summer. Hungry Shark World, available for free on iOS and Android devices, is celebrating Shark Week now through August 3. During that time, you'll see the Discovery Shark Week 2023 branding in-game, as well as themed accessories like a Shark Week towel, flag, lanyard, and hat. As a bonus, starting today until July 22, all in-game levels are unlocked, and select sharks will get health, speed, and boost upgrades until July 29. Then, from August 3 to September 15, Meg 2: The Trench will prowl in, bringing in-game billboards for the movie and increased strength for the Ancient Megalodon Shark and the Megalodon Shark.

Hungry Shark Evolution, free to play on iOS and Android devices, is also celebrating Shark Week through July 23, complete with themed accessories and a special Shark Week battle pass including accessories from previous Shark Week events. Then, from July 24 to August 7, the game will feature Meg 2: The Trench in-game billboards and introduce a new in-game event, Meg Vs. Kraken.  You'll play as The Megalodon and The Kraken in alternating events every two days, where you'll need to eat as many sharks as possible within a limited time frame or try to survive as long as possible in the game. On top of that, the Megalodon shark will have increased stats from July 30 to August 6.
