A new trailer has arrived to showcase the exotic new adventures coming to Far Cry 5 after the game arrives on March 27. There's a bevy of post-launch content that will take you far from the cult-controlled lands of Hope County, as well as some that will bring new challenges and rewards to your Montana stomping grounds. Check out the video below to get a glimpse of the goodies coming your way, and read on to learn more about how to get in on the action.
Picking up the Far Cry 5 Season Pass will grant you access to three new adventures: Hours of Darkness, Lost on Mars, and Dead Living Zombies. In the first, Hours of Darkness, you'll be thrown into war-ravaged Vietnam and have to fight your way through enemy forces, rescue POWs, and try to evac amidst the chaos. The second, Lost on Mars, will see you traveling to the red planet to wield futuristic weaponry in a jetpack-fueled fight against insidious aliens. Last but not least, Dead Living Zombies places you and a co-op teammate at the whim of a B-movie director, who cooks up seven different scenarios that pit you against hordes of undead horrors.
And there's more adventure in store for Season Pass owners, who will get early access to Far Cry 3: Classic Edition four weeks before it becomes available as a standalone purchase. Far Cry 3: Classic Edition features the single-player campaign of Far Cry 3, which marks the introduction of the beloved wingsuit into the Far Cry world. The lush flora of the Rook Islands await you, along with friendly locals, hostile pirates, territorial critters, and one of the greatest villains of the Far Cry franchise, Vaas Montenegro.
Even if you don't have the Season Pass, you'll get a regular stream of free new stuff for Far Cry 5 right from the get-go through Far Cry Arcade and Far Cry 5 Live Events. Far Cry Arcade is part map editor and part game-design tool, and it'll be a free source of new maps to play (created by both the developers and the community) and new challenges to take on every week. Check out the trailer above for examples that include jet-skiing through a flooded city, traversing an eerie hallway with floating clocks, and a whole bunch of classic Far Cry-style mayhem. Arcade is also the home of competitive Far Cry 5 action, where you'll find PvP firefights galore. And any rewards you earn in Arcade, including money, items, weapons, and vehicles, will carry over to your campaign. There will also be new opportunities and rewards coming to Hope County in the form of Far Cry 5 Live Events. These limited-run challenges will be great places to test your skills in new ways and earn sweet loot for your efforts, including unique vehicle and weapon skins. As you progress through the game, you'll also unlock an array of vehicles, weapons, gear items, and more to customize your character however you see fit. There are a wealth of customization items to unlock, and all of this content will be accessible for players as they explore Hope County - nothing will be locked behind a paywall.
