Ubisoft+ added two new indie games to its growing library: Old School Musical and Neon Abyss.
Developed by La Moutarde and published by Dear Villagers, Old School Musical is a retro-style rhythm game that will have you attacking to the beat of chiptune music. Join heroes Tib and Rob as they fight their way through a story mode filled with innumerable chickens, 20 different levels, and over 60 chiptune tracks from artists like Dubmood, Zabutom, and Hello World, among others.
In Neon Abyss, a roguelite platformer from developer Veewo Games and publisher Team17, you are handpicked by Hades to join the Grim Squad, tasked with fighting through the Abyss and defeating the New Gods. Each time you die you have to start over, but you can equip new loot to help you during your next run. And don't forget to bring your pet along for the ride! Throughout the Abyss, you'll find eggs that transform into an animal companion with special abilities that will help you survive your quest.
All indie games are available on Ubisoft+ for a period of six months, and Iris & the Giant, Calico, and Death Squared have reached the end of their tenure. While they're leaving the Ubisoft+ library, all three games are still available for purchase from the Ubisoft Store. For more updates on Ubisoft+, stay tuned to Ubisoft News.
