The Crew Motorfest is the Next Game in The Crew Franchise
The Crew Motorfest is an all-new racing game coming later this year and set on the Hawai'ian island O'ahu, inviting players to race through Honolulu, zoom down the side of a volcano, off-road through forests, or simply hang out on the beach. The Crew Motorfest is open-world, letting you explore the whole island in your fleet of vehicles. For an inside look at the game before it launches, check out The Crew Motorfest's Insider Program, which launched on February 1.
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home Available Now
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, the sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War, is now available exclusively for Netflix members on iOS and Android devices. The game follows four interconnected stories: James, a member of the Harlem Hellfighters in search of his older brother; Anna, a nurse healing wounded soldiers; Ernst, a German diver; and George, a British aviator, as they navigate survival and sacrifice during World War I.
Six Invitational 2023 Starts February 7
On February 1, Ubisoft announced that the Rainbow Six Invitational 2023 will take place in Montreal and Laval from February 7-19. The height of the competitive Rainbow Six Siege esports season, the Six Invitational will feature the top 20 teams worldwide as they compete for the World Championship title and a portion of a $3,000,000 prize pool. For the first time since 2020, the Six Invitational will be open to the public for the final three days of the competition. The in-person event will have demo booths for fans to check out the new Rainbow Six Siege season, meet-and-greet sessions with the game's dev team and pro players, and a merch store, among other activities.
Ubisoft+ Spotlight - Ode
(Editorial note: This is a series of quick weekly highlights written by Ubisoft News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)
Brittany Spurlin, Writer/Editor: Meet Joy, a fallen star who needs your help navigating a strange, mystical, and musical world in order to return to the sky in Ode. A 3D platformer game, Ode features four fantasy landscapes that start as colorless, quiet spaces, but as Joy explores, they awaken into a colorful crescendo of sound and light. The gameplay is straightforward, easy to understand, and quick to master. Playing as Joy, you summon, gather, and throw other segments of fallen stars as needed to shape the world. These segments can be used to activate a needed element of the world, like a gust of air or a secret passage, or can create a rope for Joy to swing across large gaps, helping you discover new areas (or shortcuts back in case you find yourself falling from a high level).
Ode is a short game, but a mesmerizing one. It's described as a musical garden, something the gameplay lives up to; each element that comes to life in the world emits a different musical sound. The experience makes you feel like a conductor, constantly adding layers to an orchestra. The freedom to explore feels magical and natural, almost like floating across a foreign landscape, and solving a puzzle or uncovering a new shortcut is delightful. Plus, Ode is a relaxing experience, mixing unrushed gameplay with music for an idyllic and chill game.
You can play Ode today with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
