Splinter Cell Conviction has sneaked its way onto the Xbox One's backward compatibility list, joining a growing number of Xbox 360 games playable on the console. Players who already own the franchise-reinventing 2010 adventure, either on disc or digitally, can play it immediately; otherwise, you can snag it at a 50% discount from now until February 12. The sale also includes other Ubisoft games, which you can grab for up to 60% off.
Stripping Sam Fisher of the high-tech gear he'd come to rely on through most of the series, Splinter Cell Conviction is a raw, fast-paced transformation for the series. Shifting from methodical sneaking and surveillance to quick thinking and dynamic action, Splinter Cell Conviction adds abilities like Mark & Execute (which lets you tag and automatically shoot multiple targets in rapid succession), and encourages players to make creative use of the environment while escaping and interrogating enemies.
Splinter Cell Conviction is available now through the Xbox Store on Xbox One and Xbox 360. For a full list of Ubisoft games on sale, visit the sale page on Xbox.com.
