OddBallers is out now on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, PC, and Luna, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PS5 via backwards compatibility. A dodgeball-inspired party game, OddBallers only has one rule: anything you can pick up, you can throw, from dodgeballs to turnips. Throw, dash, block, and push your way to victory in a variety of minigames, ranging from free-for-alls to team battles to boss fights. Each match consists of a random rotation of minigames, and the first player to reach a predetermined number of points will get a match point, and can win the game by winning the next round. However, beware mutator vote, which randomly pops up between rounds and allows you to choose a mutator that will add to or change the rules of the next game. Some of the mutators include disabling the ability to catch, awarding bonus points for eliminations, reducing hits a player can take to one, and many more.
The game has three different environments - The Farms, The Islands, and Waterfront - each with 30 themed arenas that are highly interactive, providing obstacles for players to avoid or use to their advantage. You can push opponents into electric fences, take shelter behind a crate, or throw a gas tank. Plus, when players are eliminated, they have the chance to bombard you with traps and other hazardous obstacles, making the arenas an ever-changing minefield of fun.
At the heart of it all is OddClub. A dodgeball-themed resort, OddClub is a safe haven where players can learn new moves, customize avatars, squad up, and more. OddBallers offers a wide variety of customization options, letting players deck out their OddBaller or Rabbid avatars with different outfits, haircuts, and accessories. You can even pick out dance moves and emojis to taunt your opponents during gameplay. As a multiplayer party game, you can play with up to five other friends locally (three on PlayStation), or head online for six-player cross-play matches on any platform. You can also play against up to five AI-controlled players, each with an individual difficulty level, and create your own custom minigame playlists.
You can get OddBallers today at the Ubisoft Store for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC, as well as with a Ubisoft+ subscription or Amazon Luna membership. Plus, on PC, you can use Ubisoft Connect's shareplay feature to share your screen and controls with friends remotely.
