It takes dedication, skill, and strategy to become a top esports player, especially in a game as demanding as Rainbow Six Siege. With the Six Invitational tournament ready to kick off on February 13, Ubisoft's four-part Escalation documentary series – the episodes of which were released last week – takes a close look at what it takes to be a top-tier player in episodes 3 and 4.
Showcasing players from three Pro League teams – Evil Geniuses (USA), Team Liquid (Brazil), and Supremacy (France) – along with shoutcasters KiXSTAr and Meligeni, the videos feature in-depth interviews filmed during the Rainbow Six Pro League Season 3 Finals in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Episode 3, "Gear Up," offers an inside look at the training and constant analysis needed to reach Pro League status. (Note: Turn on closed captions to enable subtitles.)
The series culminates with Episode 4, "Secure the Clutch," which examines the dramatic one-against-five clutch victory achieved in 2017 by Brazilian player Nesk.
More competition is just over the horizon. The Six Invitational begins February 13, bringing together 16 teams to compete for a $500,000 prize pool and the title of World Champion.
