A new patch for Rainbow Six Siege will be available for all platforms on August 25, and it's bringing a couple of big rebalancing tweaks based on feedback from the community and Pro League players, as well as a broad assortment of smaller fixes. This time, it's Pulse's turn in the spotlight. His heartbeat sensor now has reduced range – down to nine meters from 13 – and he can no longer quick-swap the sensor for his previously equipped weapon, which creates a slightly longer delay between putting it away and being able to shoot.
Semi-auto shotguns are also being rebalanced, a change that affects firearms carried by Caveira, Valkyrie, Frost, Pulse, Thermite, and Castle. To make them less powerful at medium and long range, their close- and medium-range damage will drop about 25-30%, and their cones of dispertion will widen by 1.5 degrees.
These changes come alongside dozens of smaller tweaks and fixes, including a HUD update that makes dead Operator icons more visible. For a complete rundown of what to expect on August 25, take a look at the full patch notes.
