Blood Dragons, Omega troopers, and a slew of objects and structures from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon recently arrived in Far Cry Arcade, letting Far Cry 5 players create and share their own retro-sci-fi scenarios with the community. To celebrate, the development team has created two new maps – added to Far Cry Arcade as part of the free update dropping today – that highlight the Blood Dragons and their futuristic surroundings.
In the Passage map, the team has mashed up all of Far Cry Arcade's post-launch additions into one adventure, combining elements from Hours of Darkness, Lost on Mars, and Dead Living Zombies before bringing players face to face with a Blood Dragon. Blood Dragon Arena, meanwhile, is a deathmatch map created using Blood Dragon assets. Both maps will be available free as part of the latest updates.
The Blood Dragon additions cap off Far Cry 5's first six months since launch, during which a lot of Hope County residents have been saved – through some surprising weapon choices – and a lot of shovels have been thrown. To give you an idea of just how many, the developers have put together a celebratory infographic showing off some of the things Far Cry 5 players have achieved since the game's release.
Far Cry 5 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For more on the game, check out our previous Far Cry 5 coverage.
