Hey, ‘80s kids! You now have two more reasons to look forward to Toy Soldiers: War Chest, and their names are G.I. Joe and He-Man. The iconic toy lines are bringing their own armies to bear on the hybrid tower-defense/action game this summer, so if you harbor fond childhood memories of pitting musclebound barbarians against laser-toting modern soldiers, consider this a chance to re-create them without the stigma of playing with action figures.

They're just two of four newly revealed armies for Toy Soldiers: War Chest. Another is the Black Dragon army, led by the diabolical Dark Lord, who counts dragons, men and monsters among his minions. Rounding out the four armies are the futuristic Ghost Company guerrillas, who rely on drones, gadgets and surprise to claim victory for their leader, Phantom.
The licensed armies promise a lot of familiar faces, with He-Man, Battle Cat, Man-At-Arms, and G.I. Joe's Duke already confirmed as heading into the fray. They also won't be the only well-known troops to march into the game, as there are still two more fan-favorite factions to be unveiled. All four licensed forces will be included in the $29.99 Hall of Fame edition, or can be purchased separately for $4.99 each (or $14.99 for the set) if you opt for the $14.99 standard edition, which includes the Black Dragon, Ghost Company, German Empire, and Star Power armies.
