In Far Cry 5, you'll liberate remote Hope County, Montana, from the clutches of the fanatical Project at Eden's Gate cult by building a resistance - but you're far from the first one to push back. Far Cry Absolution, the first novel based on the Far Cry franchise, is coming on February 27, 2018, and explores the story of Mary May Fairgrave, a barkeep who takes matters into her own hands after the authorities refuse to help her. As she sets herself against a deadly adversary, the intervention of longtime cult member William Boyd alters the course of her struggle, as well as his.
"I like that the Far Cry worlds are just a little outside of the norm and allow me to tell very human, and very believable stories," says Urban Waite, author of Far Cry Absolution. "I was excited to bring this fictional small town in Montana to life. And the fact that Ubisoft decided to build this world in the Northwest, and that it shared so much with my own past novels, meant I could hardly resist."
Far Cry Absolution will be available in hardcover, paperback, and eBook editions on February 27, 2018, giving fans time to dig in before the arrival of Far Cry 5 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on March 27.
