Three major new pieces of DLC are coming to Anno 1800 in 2020 with the Season 2 Pass, and the first one arrives on March 24. Titled Seat of Power, it gives players of the city-building sim the ability to create a palace as a symbol of their city’s might, along with government departments whose policies can boost the city’s economy.
Seat of Power will be followed later this year by Bright Harvest, which lets players add tractors and other mechanized tools to boost the efficiency of their farms. In the third expansion, Land of Lions, players ally with an emperor on the Southern continent and bring irrigation to a desert. Additionally, the Season 2 Pass includes access to three exclusive ornaments, which will be available alongside Seat of Power.
The Season 2 Pass news coincides with the announcement that in December 2019, Anno 1800 grew to reach more than a million players. To celebrate, all players will receive an exclusive ornament in a free update available today, and a free weekend will kick off on March 12, giving everyone the chance to download Anno 1800 from Uplay or the Epic Games Store, and try it for free through March 15.
