A new season launches today in The Division 2 as Agents in Washington, D.C. continue their search for missing persons, work to complete the rebuild of The Castle settlement, and hunt down sinister targets. Titled Puppeteers, the second season of Year 5’s ongoing updates for the third-person shooter brings a host of new rewards to unlock, as well as new apparel events and the return of one of the most challenging mission types in franchise history. (Note that seasonal content requires the Warlords of New York expansion.)
Incursions are highly challenging endgame missions that were featured in The Division, and in Puppeteers, they are making their debut in The Division 2. The Division 2’s first Incursion is called Paradise Lost and takes place on the Meret Estate, which is overrun with Cleaners and actively on fire. Similar in difficulty and complexity to Raids, this Incursion is playable in teams of up to 4 players; squads must coordinate strategy carefully and optimize their loadouts if they hope to succeed. The first time players complete the Incursion every week rewards them with an exotic item, which has a chance to be a unique exotic item only available in Paradise Lost.
Year 5 Season 2 also introduces a new free season pass track, through which players can unlock a new exotic chest piece and a new exotic weapon, as well as new brand and gear sets, named weapons and gear, and more. The premium track of the season pass adds the opportunity to unlock new weapons skins, gear dyes, emotes, arm patches, and two special vanity outfits, including a Hunter-themed outfit.
Speaking of outfits, the new season will also feature two apparel events that will offer new cosmetic items for your Agents. The Nexus apparel event – starting October 17 – will bring neon-infused near-future styles to the streets of D.C., while the Winter Holiday apparel event – slated to begin later this holiday season – will bring projects for players to complete and earn cosmetic rewards, including new items and returning favorites.
The Division 2 and the Warlords of New York expansion are available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam, and are included with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
