Announcing New Management For Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Toronto
On June 1, Ubisoft announced two new managing directors: Istvan Tajnay for Ubisoft Montpellier, and Darryl Long for Ubisoft Toronto. Tajnay has been with Ubisoft for 11 years, founding Ubisoft Berlin in 2018 before moving to Toronto to work on titles like Far Cry 6 and the Splinter Cell remake. Currently the managing director at Ubisoft Singapore, Long founded Ubisoft Winnipeg in 2018, was a producer on Far Cry 5, and will continue to oversee production on Skull and Bones as he transitions to Toronto.
Ubisoft+ Adds Blasphemous and They Always Run
As part of its commitment to supporting indie games, Ubisoft+ has added two new titles to its library. Blasphemous takes place in Cvstodia, where a curse called The Miracle has infested the realm with monsters and traps. As The Penitent One, you'll explore the world and fight to end the curse - and your eternal anguish. In They Always Run, you'll play as Aiden, a three-armed bounty hunter on a galaxy-wide manhunt for the most dangerous criminals. With each bounty you collect, you'll learn a little more about the world, Aiden's mysterious past, and a massive conspiracy. Both of these games will only be on Ubisoft+ for six months, so check each of them out and more on Ubisoft Connect for PC.
Ubisoft+ Spotlight - They Always Run
(Editorial note: This is a series of quick weekly highlights written by Ubisoft News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)
Brittany Spurlin, Writer/Editor: A fast-paced action platformer, They Always Run offers a galaxy to explore and a seedy criminal underworld to infiltrate. You'll play as Aiden, a bounty hunter with a mysterious past, as he travels between planets to track and take down the galaxy's most dangerous criminals. Some of the bounties will reward Aiden with money, while others offer information about his past and a massive conspiracy around a fallen empire.
Oh, and Aiden? He has a third arm. You can use it in combat to break through enemy defenses and deal major damage, and recharge its power by blocking incoming attacks. The third arm can also be used to destroy obstacles, move objects around to help you better navigate the level, and carry defeated enemies. It's a big part of what makes They Always Run's gameplay feel so fun and unique.
Each level in They Always run features a diverse landscape, showcasing vibrant worlds that range from bustling cityscapes to an abandoned desert wasteland, which helps Aiden's journey feel like a true intergalactic bounty-hunter experience. The game also offers many ways to play: Will you go along with a swindler's ploy, or confront him outright? Will you kill the criminal where they stand, or carry them back to jail for a higher price? It's up to you to decide what kind of bounty hunter you want Aiden to be.
You can play They Always Run today with a Ubisoft+ subscription. The game will remain on the platform for six months, after which it will still be available from the Ubisoft Store.
